INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Included: 2 x Headlight lens film guards, 1 x Soft squeegee.
For installation, you will need: Household rubbing alcohol, a soapy water mixture (one full spray bottle of water with a couple of drops of baby shampoo or mild dish detergent), and possibly a hair dryer.
WARNING: It is very important to follow every step carefully to ensure that you mount your lens guards professionally.
- Prepare both headlight lenses by first washing with soap and water to remove dirt and grime. Dry completely and wipe the lens with household rubbing alcohol.
- Test your cleaning by placing a piece of masking tape on the lens. If it does not stick easily, continue cleaning until it does.
- Without removing the backing, place your headlight guard over the headlight to check the fit. This helps you see how it will sit on the plastic lens.
NOTE: If your headlight lens is curved or has tight compound shapes, use a hair dryer to gently heat the vinyl guard until it becomes soft and flexible. This will make installation easier.
Spray your soapy water mixture generously on both the headlight lens and the guard as you peel off the release liner. Once both are completely wet, place the guard on the lens and position it correctly.
- Use the soft felt squeegee (provided) to push the water out, starting from the center and working outward in all directions until the guard is fully adhered. If needed, use a hair dryer to soften the vinyl for stretching around curves. There should be no air bubbles when finished.
- Repeat the process for the opposite headlight.
- Repeat the process for the fog lights as well.
NOTE: Once these guards are removed, they cannot be reinstalled as the adhesive will be compromised.
