Parts Included:
- 2 x Stainless Steel Front Mud Flaps
- 6 x 1/4″ Stainless Flat Washers
- 6 x 3/4″ long 1/4″-20 Stainless Steel Mounting Carriage Bolts
- 6 x 1/2″ 1/4-20 Stainless Lock Nuts
Preparation: Although it is not necessary to remove the front wheels for this installation, it will make the process much easier. If you choose to remove the front wheels, jack the front of your Prowler off the ground and place it on jack stands for safety, then remove both front wheels.
- You will notice three slotted perches attached to the inside of each wheel fender. Slide the stainless carriage bolts down into these slots.
Tech Tip: Sometimes the carriage bolt can sit a little loose in these slots, making tightening difficult. If this happens, apply a couple of drops of five-minute epoxy between the head of the bolt and the fender and allow it to dry. Then set the mud guard over the bolts and center its position. - Starting with the center bolt, apply the stainless flat washer and lock nut, and tighten securely. Once the center bolt is fastened, make sure the mud guard is centered on the fender, then apply the last two washers and lock nuts. Replace the wheel.
Note: Care must be taken when cleaning your cover. Lightly dust it with a clean, soft cloth first to prevent any particles from scratching. Then wipe it with a new, clean, soft cloth and a good quality streak-free glass cleaner.
