Description

Protect your Rocker Panels from stone chips and road tar!

Eliminate rocker panel dings, bug bites, chips, and tar stains on your paint. These shields are nearly invisible once mounted. You can wash and even wax directly on top of them. This four-piece set is made from premium outdoor 7-year Clear 3M vinyl, with two clear vinyl pieces for each side separated by the door hinge panel break.

Self-adhesive and easy to mount. Applicator pad included. A must-have for any Prowler owner who treats their car as a treasure.

Installation Instructions

Parts included (based on a two-piece or four-piece set):

  • 2 x Driver’s side rocker cover shields
  • 2 x Passenger’s side rocker cover shields

Note: Do not remove the paper backing material from the clear shields until instructed to do so below.

  1. Clean rocker cover areas with soap and water to remove dirt, then again with household isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Let dry. Test adhesion by applying masking tape to the rocker panel area where the shields will mount. If the tape sticks readily, continue to step 2. If not, re-clean until it does.
  2. Hold the rocker cover shields against the rocker cover on each side to familiarize yourself with the fit.
  3. Fill a clean 32-oz spray bottle with warm water. Add 2 drops of baby shampoo or dish soap and shake well.
  4. Spray the cleaned rocker cover surface until the water is sheeting (not beading).
  5. Take your first clear shield panel and remove the backing. Spray both sides with the soapy solution.
  6. Place the panel on the car in the correct position. Adjust as needed, then use the felt squeegee to smooth it out and remove air pockets or bumps.
  7. Once each panel is installed, let the vehicle sit and dry for 24 hours before driving.
