This highly polished stainless steel piece gives your Prowler exhaust a race car look. It does not interfere with the exhaust because it covers the gap between the chrome tailpipe and the exhaust pipe. It does not change exhaust or engine performance and does not change the sound of your exhaust. It is easy to mount in one minute. No tools are necessary, and you do not need to modify your exhaust tips in any way. You may remove it at any time without damaging your car. It will not rust or corrode and will never lose its shiny luster. It will not come off on the road, even with vibration or potholes. Set of two (2) inserts.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Parts included: 2 x Polished Stainless Steel Exhaust Tip Inserts and 1 small tube of heat-resistant silicone adhesive.
Need: 1 x piece of coarse sandpaper.

  1. Clean the area where the exhaust tips will be mounted first with soap and water to remove any dirt, then with household isopropyl alcohol. Let it dry.
  2. For mounting exhaust tip inserts, a 2-part extreme heat epoxy is included. You must:
    • Sand or scuff both metal surfaces (the rings and the exhaust tips)
    • Remove all chrome polish and oils
    • Clean with brake cleaner or acetone
    • Clamp firmly

    Then repeat the same process on the exhaust seat, where you will apply the silicone bead. This ensures a strong bond.

  3. Take each exhaust insert one at a time and place it into the exhaust tip area to check the fit. Once satisfied, proceed with installation.
  4. Apply a thick 1/4-inch bead of high-heat silicone adhesive around the inside perimeter of the exhaust tip. Seat each insert firmly into place.
    For the ACC-822060 Star Design, push the star design into the exhaust tip after applying silicone so the outer tips bend into position.
  5. Install the exhaust inserts one at a time. Press firmly immediately after mounting to ensure proper seating. Wipe off excess silicone with a soft cloth. Clean the surface with a suitable solvent such as thinner or gasoline. Allow to dry for 24 hours before starting the engine.
