The bug screen is made of high-quality stainless steel, custom-designed specifically for the Prowler. It fits inside the engine compartment behind the front grille, using existing bolts. This screen keeps your engine and radiator free of bugs, tar, and other road debris — perfect for long trips or car shows. Works with any of our grilles.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Parts Included:

  • 1 x Stainless Bug Screen
  • 2 x Replacement Screws
  • 2 x Chrome Screw Cap Covers with White Nylon Sockets

This premium bug screen is designed to give your Prowler superior protection from bugs, stones, and road debris — without the need for unsightly straps on the front of your car. The frame is made of 304 stainless steel, and the mesh is a highly durable fiberglass screen.

Your new screen comes with a protective liner. Do not remove the liner until instructed.

  1. Remove the three factory screws securing the black metal grille cap and set them aside. Remove the two screws above the left and right brackets as well. Note: These screws will not be reused.
  2. Carefully bend the bug screen so it can slide behind the factory grille. Remove the protective liner from the frame and insert the screen. You may need to slightly bend the slotted tabs to match the screw platform using needle-nose pliers. Perfect alignment is not required — just get them close.
  3. Once the frame is positioned correctly, reinstall the factory grille cap by slightly bending the screen as you slide it into place. Align the holes and use the two replacement screws with the provided nylon sockets to secure the top plate on both sides. Snap the chrome screw covers into place to complete the installation.
