The kit comes with two stainless steel door sills with a beautiful polished finish—one door sill for each door (R & L).
Perfect for meticulous Prowler owners who care about the little details! Looks professional, like it came stock with the car, and really enhances your Kat. Made of bright, shiny, heavy-gauge stainless steel with a brushed logo.
This sill mounts over your factory mounting screws and includes replacement flat-head screws, so your mounting screws will no longer be visible. It also includes a professional brushed vinyl aluminum “Prowler” word sticker that looks etched and lasts the life of your car.
Will not fade, stain, or rust. Easy to install. This item contains two sills—one for each door. It will not come off on the road, even with vibration or potholes.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Parts Included:
- 2 x Door sills
- 1 x Adhesive Promoter Packet
- 6 x (6mm) Flat-head Phillips screws (1″ or 1 1/4″)
Items Needed:
- Household rubbing alcohol
- Tube of clear household silicone (found at any hardware store)
- Remove your current factory black plastic door sill by pulling it up slowly, allowing any glue to come up as you pull.
- Place the new polished door sills where they are to be mounted. Move them around until you are satisfied with the fit. Once comfortable, proceed to the next step.
- Clean the area with household rubbing alcohol until the surface is free of glue or residue. Then, swipe the area once with the provided adhesive promoter packet.
- Your new stainless sills come with three flat-head screws to replace the dome-head factory bolts in the door sill area. Remove the factory screws and replace them with the provided screws. Place the new sill in position, remove the red liner from the underside adhesive tape, reposition it, and press firmly along the entire surface to set.
- Repeat steps 1–4 for the opposite door.
