Prowler Mud Flap Alternate Mounting Brackets
These directions are for installing front mud flap mounting brackets on a Prowler front fender where the factory mounting bracket has been removed or never existed.
Included: 3 mounting brackets, 3 screws, 3 washers, and optional epoxy glue.
- Clear off any blockages on the inside of the fender where you are going to mount the brackets.
- With the help of a friend, hold a front mud flap in place on the fender exactly how it will be mounted. While one person holds it, use a pen to mark the three holes through the mud flap onto the inside of the fender.
- Apply epoxy glue to the backside of one bracket (do not cover the center hole). Align the hole with your mark and press the bracket into place. Repeat for all three brackets.
- Important: Make sure the brackets line up properly with the mud flap mounting holes before the epoxy dries. Place the mud flap over the brackets and check the hole alignment. If necessary, adjust the brackets in the wet glue until they align.
- Either remove the flap and let the glue dry for 24 hours, or duct tape the flap in place until the glue dries.
- Repeat the process for the other fender if needed.
- Note: If the alignment is slightly off after the glue dries, you can drill out the mud flap holes until they line up. Larger washers may be used to secure the flap.
