This piece fits over the space that holds your battery at the front of the engine. It really brightens up your engine compartment for car shows and rallies.

Made of extremely high-polished, mirror-finish, heavy-gauge stainless steel (looks like chrome). Uses existing bolt holes and comes with chrome screw cap covers. No maintenance required — will not rust, stain, or fade. It will not come off on the road, even with vibration or potholes. Easy to remove to access your battery.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Parts included:
1 x Stainless Battery Cover
2 x White Nylon Sockets
2 x Chrome Button Caps
1 x (3/4”) #10 Flat Head Screw
2 x (3/4”) Washer Head Screws

  1. Remove the three screws at the very top and front of the grille. NOTE: These screws will not be reused.
  2. Replace the front center screw with the stainless flat head screw (provided) and tighten until it sits flush.
  3. Your new cover comes with a protective liner — do not remove it until installation is complete. Cut the excess plastic hood stops under the hood stop bracket. Place the battery cover over the grille area and slide it beneath the hood stop brackets. Position it so the rear of the battery cover fits into the shallow ridge of the hood catch support bracket. Align the left and right holes at the front of the battery cover with the holes where you removed the factory screws. Check how the cover conforms to the top of the grille — you may need to remove and slightly shape it by hand for a perfect fit.Once satisfied with the fit, place the two remaining screws (provided) through the two white screw cover sockets (provided) and fasten. Be careful not to overtighten, as this can dimple the screw area.
  4. Remove the protective liner and snap on the two chrome screw caps (provided).

CARE AND MAINTENANCE: Lightly dust your cover with a clean, soft cloth before cleaning to prevent scratches. Then wipe with a new, soft cloth using a good-quality, streak-free glass cleaner.
