INSTRUCTIONS
Parts included: emblem(s), promoter pen or packet
WARNING: It is very important to follow every step without skipping anything. This will ensure that you mount your emblem permanently.
Applying your new logos:
- First, wash the area where your current logos will be replaced with soap and water. Let it dry for a couple of minutes.
- IMPORTANT: Scrub thoroughly with rubbing alcohol to remove any invisible oils. NOTE: If you have used a protectant such as wax or Armor-All, go through a more thorough cleaning process. Use a solvent such as thinner inside the indented letters to clean them completely.
- Take the packet or small promoter pen provided. Apply the clear, moist promoter to the exact area where you will mount your emblem(s). The promoter will not harm your car’s paint. Any excess can be wiped away with rubbing alcohol. If using the pen, bend it to break the internal ampoule, then press the sponge tip on a clean piece of paper to release the liquid. Now you are ready to apply it to your surface. IF you need to remove an existing emblem, continue; otherwise, skip to step 6.
- Use the included pink scraper to gently pry off existing emblem(s) on your car.
- Once the emblem is removed, slight residue outlines will remain, helping you gauge where to place your new logos. Hold the new emblem up to see where you want to mount it. Ensure it is straight and perpendicular to the ground.
- Use a piece of test tape (or masking tape) to check alignment on the cleaned surface. If it sticks, proceed; if not, re-clean until it does.
- Peel the white backing off the new emblem. The logo will remain stuck to the clear top liner. Hold the emblem up to the desired position without touching the car. Once certain, touch it lightly to the surface and make minor adjustments. Press down on the entire surface, then press firmly along the top to ensure a tight bond. Gently remove the clear top liner. Wipe down the letters and the surrounding car surface. Any residue from the original logos can be removed with rubbing alcohol.
