INSTRUCTIONS

Parts included: 1 set of letters spelling “PROWLER” and/or 1 set of letters spelling “PLYMOUTH”
WARNING: It is very important to follow every step without skipping. This will ensure that you mount your insert letters professionally.

1. Prepare the indented bumper letters by washing them thoroughly with soap and water. Let them dry. Then wash again with rubbing alcohol to remove any oily residue.NOTE: If you have used a protectant such as wax or Armor-All, you must clean more thoroughly. Use a solvent such as thinner inside the indented letters to remove residue.Use a small piece of sandpaper to scuff the inside surfaces of the bumper letters. This will help the trim letters bond strongly.
2. Once the indented letters are dry, begin shaping the metal letters one at a time. NOTE: Do not remove the backing on the letters until instructed.To hand-bend each letter, place the first metal letter into its matching indented bumper letter. For example, start with the “P” in “PROWLER.” Examine how it fits and gently bend the metal letter by hand to match the curve of the bumper. This requires careful trial and error.When finished, each letter should conform exactly to the bumper surface.NOTE: Shorter letters may not require bending.
3. Take out the promoter pen. Snap it firmly in the middle to break the internal glass ampoule. Apply the promoter inside each indented bumper letter, covering the entire area where the new metal letters will be mounted.
4. When you are satisfied with the fit, remove the backing from the first metal letter and press it firmly into the indented bumper letter.
5. Repeat this process for each letter. It is important that every letter fits properly; automotive tape will not hold long-term unless each letter is shaped to the bumper’s contour.You may apply a piece of masking tape over each installed letter to hold it in place for 12 hours. After removing the tape, clean the letters and bumper using a good glass cleaner.
