Description
Many Prowler owners like the look of the elegant and famous Chrysler Wings emblem on the backside of their Kats. These are brand-new, factory-made emblems designed for Chrysler cars. The reason these are used for the Prowler is that the size and fit are perfect. The back of the emblem has been modified and fitted with professional car body adhesive tape. Simply peel and stick for a permanent bond.
Product consists of: One (1) Chrysler original factory-made Wings emblem, ready to mount.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The Chrysler Wings emblem you have purchased is a new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) part. All Prowlers were Chrysler products and can proudly wear the Chrysler Wings emblem. Prowler years 2001–2002 were produced directly under the Chrysler name. Although the years 1996–2000 were produced under the Plymouth name, Plymouth is a division of Chrysler.
Each wing emblem has professional-grade double-stick automotive tape for your convenience.
- Take the emblem without removing the red backing from the tape and hold it on the back trunk of your Prowler. Move it around in different positions until it looks best to you. There is no right answer here since the emblem was not included from the factory on the Prowler.
- Once you have identified the spot, use a china marker or soft chalk to mark its position. If you want it centered on your trunk over the license plate, measure the width of the car’s back end, divide it in half, and mark the center.
- Clean thoroughly the area where you plan to mount the emblem, then dry completely.
- Carefully peel the red backing off the back of the emblem. Warning: This is a permanent stick tape. You will not be able to remove it without damaging your car’s paint and the emblem itself. Hold the emblem over the spot where you want to place it. Ensure it is perfectly lined up. Press down gently at first—you may move it slightly if needed. Then press firmly all over the emblem and let it sit for 4–6 hours to bond.
