INSTRUCTIONS
Parts included: emblem(s), promoter pen or packet
WARNING: It is very important to follow every step without skipping. This ensures your emblem is mounted permanently.
Applying Your New Logos:
- Wash the area where the current logos are located using soap and water. Let the surface dry for a few minutes.
- IMPORTANT: Scrub the area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol to remove invisible oils.
NOTE: If you have used a protectant such as wax or Armor-All, you must clean more thoroughly. Use a solvent such as thinner inside the indented letters to remove residue. - Open the packet or pen of the promoter. Apply the clear promoter to the exact area where you will mount the emblem(s). The promoter will not harm your car’s paint, and any excess can be wiped away with rubbing alcohol. The foil packet contains a moistened sponge. If you received the “pen” version, bend the pen to break the internal glass ampoule, then press the tip on a piece of paper until the liquid flows. Now apply the promoter to the surface. If you need to remove an existing emblem, continue. If not, skip to step 6.
- Use the pink scraper included in your kit and gently pry off the existing emblem(s) from your vehicle.
- After removing the emblem, you may see faint residue outlines where each letter was. This helps guide placement for your new logos. Hold the new emblem up to the mounting area and determine the exact position. Whoever installs the emblem should ensure it is straight and aligned perpendicular to the ground.
- Use the piece of test tape provided (or masking tape) and press it onto the cleaned surface in several spots. If it sticks well, continue. If not, re-clean the area and try again.
- Take one of your new emblems and gently peel off the white paper backing (Diagram A). The emblem will remain attached to the clear top liner.Hold the emblem near the mounting area without touching the car until you are confident about the position. Once certain, lightly touch the emblem to the surface and make final adjustments. When satisfied, press firmly over the entire emblem to ensure a strong bond. Then gently remove the top clear liner (Diagram B).Wipe down the letters and the surrounding area. Any leftover residue from the original logos can be removed with rubbing alcohol.
