PROWLER Gas Cap Cover©

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
 

      Parts included:                                                   

       1 x  Polished Gas Cap,  1 x Adhesive Promoter Packet

 

  1. Clean gas cap area first with soap and water to remove any dirt then with household Isopropyl Alcohol. Let dry.

 

  1. Take your new Gas Cap Cover and place it on top of your Prowlers existing gas cap.  Move it around until it is in a position where it covers the existing gas cap completely.  Open your cars gas cap while holding your new Gas Cap Cover on top to be sure that your new Gas Cap Cover is clear of hitting any area on your car.  The idea here is for you to become familiar with its proper placement. 
    Notice that your stock plastic gas cap has a slight curve in it from top to bottom.  You will want to slightly bend your new metal gas cap to approximately match this curve.  You do this by placing both of your hands on the new gas cap.  With your thumbs on the back and the rest of your 8 fingers on the front side lined along the center (long ways).
    Place the cap on your leg for support and just slight bend it along this center line.
     
    Once you attach the Gas Cap Cover you will not be able to move it again.

 

  1. Once you are satisfied with the fit remove the red liner from the attachment tape on the underside of the as Cap Cover. Very carefully hold the Cover over your cars gas cap.  When you are certain it is in the correct position - Press firmly to set.  Push firmly along the entire perimeter edge to ensure a tight bond.  It is best to let it set for 8 hours.  Do not get it wet during this time.
     

CARE AND MAINTENANCE:  Care must be taken when cleaning your cover. It is a good idea to lightly dust your cover with a clean soft cloth first in order to prevent any particles from scratching it. Then wipe (using a new clean soft cloth) with a good quality streak free glass cleaner.
